Special Needs Transportation
Welcome! Here you will find important information regarding Yuba City Unified School District Special Needs Busing. We are dedicated to providing safe and efficient transportation to students within Yuba City Unified School District and its surrounding districts. We have 22 routes servicing over 300 students with special needs.
All of our Special Needs buses are equipped with heaters, air conditioners, seat belts, and wheelchair ramps. Our bus drivers are specially trained to give students the best service available.
State law requires each driver to have a valid School Bus Driver Certificate, pass a physical examination, and obtain traffic and criminal clearance. In addition, the YCUSD Transportation Department requires all bus drivers to attend regularly scheduled safety meetings, and to attend in-service training sessions to improve their skills with special education students.
