Due to Covid-19, the approved reopening plan included the following changes to the bus pass process:
- Students are required to possess a bus pass before boarding school busses.
- No Pass No Ride.
- Availability of bus passes may be significantly reduced.
- Students who have a bus pass and do not ride the bus may have the pass suspended.
- Several bus stops have been suspended or consolidated. You will be contacted by transportation with your stop location.
- All riders will be required to wear a face-covering (exceptions will require documentation of a qualifying condition).
- Bus applications are accepted online. Current applications must be on file prior to students riding the bus.
- Services are available only to the neighborhood stops in which the student lives.
- Ridership may be suspended if bus pass is loaned, borrowed, forged, or not reported as lost.
- Ridership may be suspended if bus safety rules are violated on the bus and/or at the stop (neighborhood and/or school).
- Report all lost cards by emailing transportationoffice@ycusd.org or texting (530) 682-7044.
- You must check the box regarding PreK/Kindergarten and special education even if you do not have students in these programs.
- The Transportation Office will be open via phone call, text or e-mail only - No Walk-Ins will be permitted.
