Please note: Parents/guardians must submit Intra-District and Inter-Districts Requests to the district between March 15, 2020 and April 15, 2020. Late requests will not be considered so that we may effectively balance staffing throughout the district, which is not dependent upon class size at any particular school.
For the 2020-2021 school year, the kindergarten online transfer window will open March 15, 2020 and run through April 15, 2020. We are anticipating that families will be notified of the status of their transfer by or around July 1, 2020.
For families within the YCUSD District:
Once you have an Intra-District transfer agreement already in place, the transfer remains in effect for the duration of the grade range at that school. A new transfer request will only be required when students transition between Elementary and Jr. High, as well as between Junior High and High school. K-8 students re-apply only when transitioning to High School.
Parents/Guardians must complete this online application.
No paper applications will be accepted this year. If you need computer access, there will be computer terminals available here at the district office at 750 N. Palora Avenue, Yuba City.
All Inter-District (students living outside YCUSD boundaries) Transfer Requests will only be approved for students that have a history of good grades, attendance and behavior as determined by the school administration. The Inter-District Transfer has to be requested every year within the annual application period, or the student will be dropped at the end of the current school year. A school principal may revoke the Approved Inter-District Request if a student does not maintain good grades, attendance, and behavior. A paper copy will still be required after the transfer is accepted.
Guidelines for Approval of an Inter-District (Living out of the boundaries of YCUSD) submitted Request are:
